Tyra's Piano Studio
TRAINING
The T.I.M.P. training program starts students off with the basic Faber Piano Adventures Books so they can get the needed basic training in order to excel.
The students continue learning from these books until they no longer need them.
INSPIRATION
At a young age, Tyra's ability to play the piano advanced quickly for several reasons. The most profound reason was that she was inspired to play piano because of other advanced musicians like Jon Schmidt.
T.I.M.P. helps inspire students to want to not only play but excel in mastering the piano by introducing them to music and composers from all genres and encouraging them to find songs that get them excited to push themselves to a new level.
MOTIVATION
Motivation is key when playing the piano. T.I.M.P. will help motivate students to play and practice the piano by giving them rewards and strong encouragement.
Helping the student to have basic piano knowledge and encouraging them to find songs that "speak" to them that they're excited to learn also contributes to helping the student be motivated to practice and reach new levels with their musical abilities.
But in the end, motivation is always up to the student!
PASSION
Passion is what took Tyra from being a beginner pianist to doing musical speaking engagements and performing her own piano and composition pieces.

Through T.I.M.P. training, Tyra hopes to help her students find the same passion she's had throughout her musical experience by helping the students gain the needed skills to play the piano, by finding songs they love to play, and by having a teacher who both encourages them to push themselves and that inspires them because of her own musical abilities and accomplishments.
Materials
Parents pay for the required materials; piano course books, metronome, note book, & occasionally sheet music.

Tuition RAtes
30 minute lesson: $20
Payments are made weekly by Venmo or cash, with no charge for a missed lesson*.
There will be a $10 fee to help cover expenses for recitals. (Early Winter and late Spring.)

*If missing lessons happens more than three times in a row, there will be a $35 fee. If student continues to miss lessons, lessons will be discontinued.
Where are the lessons?
Lessons are at Tyra's house in Eagle Mountain, Ut. She does not come to students houses to teach unless there are five or more students.
Studio Policies
1. Student must be on time to lessons and picked up on time
2. Students are required to practice daily on an acoustic piano or weighted, 88 keys keyboard. (Their practice time will vary depending on their level.)
3. Student must keep nails clipped (to ensure proper technique) and come with clean hands.
About Tyra
Tyra has been playing piano for over ten years, plays over seven instruments, has a youtube channel, travels and speaks at public events, and is passionate about teaching students in a way that will help them reach their goals.
